DN250 ANSI 150LB standard Cast Steel Handle Clamp Type Butterfly Valve
Product Installation
1. Place the butterfly valve between the pre-installed two special flanges for the clamping butterfly valve, and ensure that the flange bolt holes are aligned with the round holes of the butterfly valve body.
2. Insert the bolts and nuts into the flange hole to connect the valve body with the flange, correct the flange flatness, but do not overtighten the bolts and nuts.
3. The flange is welded to the pipe, and spot welding is adopted.
4. Remove the clamp-type butterfly valve, and weld the two flanges completely to the pipe to complete the fixation.
5. Wait for the weld between the flange and the pipe to cool down before installing the butterfly valve. At this point, you need to make sure that the butterfly plate is open a bit.
6. Correct the installation position of the butterfly valve again and tighten the bolts, but do not overtighten them.
7. Make sure that the butterfly plate of the butterfly valve is fully opened, and ensure that the butterfly plate of the butterfly valve can be opened and closed freely.
8. Cross-tighten the bolts and tighten them evenly.
9. Test the opening and closing of the butterfly valve to ensure that the valve can be opened and closed freely.
Product installation precautions
1. Be sure to clean the pipeline before installation, otherwise welding slag and other sundries will be caught between the valve plate and the valve seat, resulting in scratches and internal leakage.
2. If it is installed on the riser, the weight of all pipe sections above the butterfly valve must be borne by a special support mechanism, and cannot act on the valve body, otherwise the rubber seat of the butterfly valve will be squeezed and deformed seriously and wrap the valve plate, resulting in the valve plate being unable to move.
3. If it is installed in a horizontal pipeline, a metal compensator must be installed on the pipeline where the butterfly valve is located to absorb the change in the length of the pipeline due to thermal expansion and cold contraction. And the nut of the pull rod on the metal compensator must be loosened, otherwise the compensator will not work.
4. Before installation, please measure and compare the outer diameter of the butterfly valve seat and the water pattern surface of the flange to ensure that there is enough fitting area. It is recommended to use a special flange for butterfly valves. It is strictly forbidden to clamp the butterfly valve welding flange to avoid scalding the rubber valve seat.
